The carob tree inspired us to create our virtuous model of Industry 4.0. Carob tree cultivation does not need fertilizers or irrigation systems and the plant itself prevents the hydrogeological instability of the territory. We grow and work it in a short supply chain, without chemical elements and with a circular economy approach, which allows us to recycle 99,85% of production waste. To improve this model, we are building a new plant which will double the production capacity.
This to make us more autonomous and reliable in a business continuity perspective.
For the same reason, since the beginning, we chose energy from natural and renewable sources for our plant and this year we tripled the solar panel system. Thanks to these investments and to the very nature of our business, we can proudly affirm that we have a 100% pollution free and 100% chemical free process: an important goal that drives us to improve our production process more and more. The new challenge will be to progressively eliminate the use of plastic inside the plant and to find alternative solutions, also for packaging, to reach the 100% plastic free level. We are constantly investing in the search for even more advanced and clean technological solutions to improve our fully automated plants, though they already ensure the highest standards of accuracy and food safety. Our commitment is to have not only an environmentally friendly production, but above all to guarantee hi-performance natural ingredients. Our goal is to perfectly respond to new trends in the food market, increasingly sensitive to environmental and safety issues.
