LBG Production Plant

The new manufacturing plant, located in the industrial area of Ragusa - Sicily, was opened in 2000. It is designed to meet the increasing requirements of the food industry. Our facility occupies a surface of more than 10.000 sqm featuring the latest technologies with a productive capacity of almost 2000 tons of gums per year. The plant features the latest technologies and a special packaging system with an on-line metal detector which ensures the best food-safety results.

LBG Sicilia has a seed-storage capacity of more than 1000 tons splitted in different silos in order to improve traceability. Our plant is able to manufacture a variety of LBG types for the food industry.

Carob Kibbling Factory

C.da Genisi - Ragusa. Built in 1969 our Kibbling factory is located just in the middle of a carob tree production area just 10 km from Ragusa. It has a carob-storage capacity of 10.000 tons and a seed production of 1.000 tons per year.

‘Contrada Patrizio’ Carob tree plantation

The land, 35 Hectars with around 5.000 carob trees, was bought in 1993 but the new plantation is dated in 1998. Here we share our experience with the knowledge accumulated by the University of Catania in the carob field.

The result is an expertise network which leads to:

increasing productivity and yield production of the carob trees;
improving quality of plantation and final product;
improving adaptability and behaviourship of cultivar.
